Stereo zoom microscopes like the M2 Z45 offer a unique alternative to traditional compound microscopes. A stereo microscope provides a three-dimensional image by combining two separate optical systems — one for each eye. That gives you real depth perception and an extended working distance of up to 200mm, leaving room for tools, probes, and your hands beneath the optics. Illumination for your application

Component inspection, small parts, P.C. boards and through-hole work, ceramics, and measurement are all well served by either of the two light sources we offer. The choice comes down to your bench setup and how you prefer to work — tell us the application and we will recommend one.

• LED ring light — mounts directly to the pod with a variable power supply. Cool running, long life, and even illumination around the full circumference. The Z45 light adapter is included.
• Fiber optic light — a fiber optic ring driven by a separate 150 watt light box, for shadow-free illumination and flexible positioning. The Z45 light adapter is included with the ring.
